Refreshing iced matcha latte topped with silky vanilla cold foam — elegant, quick, and perfect for Mother's Day.
# What You’ll Need:
→ Matcha latte
01 - 2 tsp high-quality matcha green tea powder
02 - 1/2 cup hot water (about 176°F)
03 - 1 cup cold milk or dairy-free alternative
04 - 1 to 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup, to taste
05 - Ice cubes, as needed
→ Vanilla cold foam
06 - 1/2 cup cold heavy cream
07 - 1/2 cup cold milk or dairy-free creamer
08 - 1 tbsp vanilla syrup (store-bought or prepared)
# How to Make It:
01 - Sift the matcha into a small bowl, add the hot water (about 176°F) and whisk briskly with a bamboo whisk or small whisk until fully dissolved and a uniform froth develops.
02 - While the matcha is warm, stir in honey or maple syrup to your preferred sweetness and taste; adjust incrementally.
03 - Fill two tall glasses with ice. Divide the cold milk evenly between the glasses (about 1/2 cup per glass). Slowly pour the prepared matcha over the milk to create a layered appearance.
04 - Combine the cold heavy cream, cold milk or creamer, and vanilla syrup in a small mixing bowl or the frother cup. Froth with a milk frother or whisk vigorously by hand until the mixture is thick, pillowy and has roughly doubled in volume.
05 - Spoon the vanilla cold foam generously over each matcha-topped glass, smoothing or swirling the foam as desired for presentation.
06 - Optionally dust with a light sprinkling of matcha powder or garnish with edible flowers. Serve immediately with a straw.
